Our office-based emissions have recently been validated in accordance with PAS 2060, allowing Crown Gas & Power to formalise its commitment to Operational Carbon Neutrality; marking a key first milestone in Crown Gas & Power’s continuing environmental journey.

With support and assurance from Carbon Reduction and Sustainability Scientists at Tunley Environmental, we have measured the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with our operational activities to a reasonable degree of accuracy.
Scope of Crown Gas & Powers Carbon Neutrality Statement
In our first achievement year, this reporting has allowed us to offset operational emissions operational activities in our 21/22 and 22/23 Financial Years, through the retirement of Verified Carbon Units.
Moving forward these measurements will also allow us to plan a realistic trajectory of continual GHG reductions, with Tunley suggesting that our operational emissions could be reduced by up to 72% by 2030.
To support this continual activity Crown Gas & Power has further committed to implementing an Environmental Management System, and achieving 14001:2015 certification by April 2025 or earlier.
Whilst the generation, distribution and use of our sold product is out of scope of our Carbon Neutrality Claims (due to our limited control over and value stake in these activities), we continue to do what we can to support business customers in making an affordable transition to Greener energy options through our range of Biogas supported contracts.
