Deemed Contract rates

Where Crown Gas & Power remain the registered energy supplier for your premise and no formal contract exists between yourself and us, then we will supply you under the terms of a deemed contract. This will continue until you either enter into a contract with us or switch to another supplier.

Deemed rates are generally more expensive than contracted rates. Please note that these rates are not fixed and they may change at any time, but we’ll let you know if they do.

Arrange a better deal – contact us

If you’ve moved into premises that we supply energy to, but haven’t told us yet, it’s important you do so as soon as possible so we can set up your account. By not getting in touch with us, you may end up paying more than you need to as our deemed rates tend to be higher than our contract rates.

Out of Contract rates

All customers will be placed on our Out of Contract rates should no renewal or alternative contract be agreed at the end of your contracted term.

Out of Contract rates are generally more expensive than contracted rates. Please note that these rates are not fixed, and they may change at any time, but we’ll let you know if they do.

Historical default tariff rates

Crown Gas & Power has regularly reviewed our Deemed and Out of Contract (default) rates over the past 12 months in line with ongoing, unprecedent wholesale market conditions.

These rates usually apply when an energy contract expires (Out of Contract), or when a business moves to new premises at which Crown Gas & Power is the registered energy supplier and no formal contract is in place for the use of gas at the premises (Deemed).
