Role & Responsibilities

You will join Crown Gas & Power as Digital Marketing Executive at an exciting time for our growing marketing department. Working closely with the Brand Manager and the marketing team, you will support the vision to continuously progress Crown Gas & Power’s digital marketing channels to deliver our campaigns, including brand awareness, employer branding, internal marketing and communication, email marketing, marketing materials and events.

The marketing department actively promotes Crown Gas & Power’s services and values to energy consultants (brokers) and customers, aiming to position us as the preferred supplier for business energy.

We are looking for a self-starter and true team player who is enthusiastic and passionate about all forms of marketing, with a drive to assist in the delivery and contribute to the creation of our marketing strategy. You must be highly organised and able to plan, execute, chase and report on your projects with the support of the Brand Manager.

You must be proactive and adaptable to business changes, with the ability to prioritize your workload accordingly. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in marketing and will in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Brand Manager and wider team on digital and offline marketing campaigns, producing and delivering content to fulfil the campaigns and taking the lead in specific digital marketing campaigns.
  • Create and contribute to the yearly content plan by writing blogs and proactively searching for new content ideas relevant to the energy industry.
  • Construct and create digital and offline marketing collateral using pre-set templates, adapting the templates when necessary.
  • Provide ad hoc content creation to fulfil the wider business marketing requirements across multiple channels within tight timelines.
  • Assist and deliver SEO strategies to continuously improve the deliverables and performance of our website.
  • Provide ad-hoc support and cover for other marketing channels when and where required to assist the team in delivering our campaigns.
  • Support the publication of website pages and blogs and share on social media written by People, Marketing or Regulations teams.
  • Liaise directly with the wider Commercial team to proactively seek out case study opportunities and take the lead in writing and publishing these online.
  • Support the Brand Manager with proofing, ensuring every piece of work sent out by the marketing team is to the best standard possible.
  • Work with the team on internal marketing campaigns, including internal conferences, events, charity support and fundraising activities.
  • Conduct monthly performance reports to provide insight on digital marketing campaigns and website activity, regularly recommending new initiatives and improvements backed by data to the Brand Manager.

Desired Personal Attributes

  • Knowledge of WordPress (including basic CSS coding)
  • Experience with email marketing and automation journeys
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Keen eye and attention to detail with the ability to proofread at a high level
  • Proactive, dedicated, self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Desire to take ownership in your own work and time management
  • Passionate about branding and style, using the company Brand Guidelines and Content & Style Guide to ensure consistency in all marketing materials
  • Highly organised with good time management
  • Willingness to adapt to change and juggle multiple priorities

Advantageous Skills / Qualifications

  • A marketing-related degree/CIM qualification
  • Knowledge of Adobe packages – Photoshop/InDesign
  • Industry experience (training will be provided the for the right candidate)
  • Proficiency in web analytics software and SEO tools
  • Experience with Google Analytics, SEO analysis and optimisation
